Political Election 2008: cartoon assignment

Plotical Cartoons Analysis Chart

Analyze: I see Mr. Steven Harper ( conservative party) and Mr. Jack Layton (NDP) playing tung of war over Mr. Stefon Dion ( Liberal) with a caption concerning the war in Afghanistan. I think this represents the confusion the Liberal party has with the war over seas and what position the other political parties have, also how they are trying to convince the Liberal Party to agree with their views on the war over seas.

Make Judgement: I think the message in conveyed affectivly and is very cute, when it comes to cartoons.

Express Opinion: Sure, I agree with this cartoon, do I share the artist? I'm not informed enough to be able to make that dission.

Climate Change
Climate Change: Fact or Fiction?

Fact, we’re loosing our glaciers to the increasingly warm climate change and there will be a global disaster when it all catches up with us. Fiction, climate change is not happening and the earth will never fall short. How do you separate the truth from the lies? When concerning global warming it’s hard to tell, there are so many different views on this global issue. Who do you trust, the know-it-all politician or the little man scientist trying to tell you some facts that may or may not be true? In the end, it’s all about thinking for you.

The earth’s atmosphere has become thick; therefore the UV rays are not bouncing back into space, like they should but are instead collecting in our earth’s atmosphere, causing the earth to become much hotter than normal, aka: Global Warming. The reason for the thicker atmosphere is because of you, well…us. We’re driving our cars, we’re working in huge factories and we’re not picking up after ourselves. Giving reason to why the glaciers are melting, our resources are on a shortage and desserts are supposed to expand in places around the world. So does that mean we caused global warming and that because of us it’s the only reason we’re facing this potential disaster? That’s the question many people are or should be asking. Climate change could be as easy as a reoccurring event that happens ever five thousand years, and the earth needs this change.

Is Climate Change an issue that we need to worry about and fix? Well it really depends how you look at it. If Climate Change isn’t as issue and we fix it, is the out come worse then if it is an issue and we don’t fix it. What if the polar bears really do loose their home and go extinct? What if climate change is happening? Oh it’s too bad we can’t go outside and play because the air is so poor. It’s no big deal the oceans are loosing important plankton and fish are dying, causing that whole economy to crash. For the people that don’t believe in Climate Change and think it will all pass, why not help out your earth just encase, because the outcome can not be poorer than, if Climate Change happens and your children have to deal with it. So make an effort, take the extra time because if you don’t it could be for the worse, not the better.

I agree with the no-it-all Politian, and the little man scientist. I believe that when in comes down to whether climate change is a fact or just fiction, it’s all fact; it’s just different people with different understandings of the whole issue. So be cautious, recycle, walk when you can and enjoy the life you live. Just be a little more conscious about to wonderful world we live in, and maybe it will last a little longer.
